Alece & James at Hope House
Each week, our interns spend a few hours at Hope House, a local orphanage, where they teach practical and Biblical lessons, play games, and make crafts. Mostly, though, they simply love on the children who very quickly find themselves at home in our hearts.

I spent my morning there today. It was so good to see our kids again, and the hug I got from little James did wonders for my heart. Many of the kids, as well as the staff, asked about our interns. So 2007 crew, know this: You made a difference, and you are missed.

Our incoming team of interns will start going to Hope House in February. I know you will fall in love with the children and they’ll fall in love with you as you follow in the footsteps of those who’ve gone before you. The shoes are big, but I know you’ll fill them well.

when we went to Hope House this summer I couldn’t believe how much they accepted the love they so quickly received. we were only there for a couple hours and it was so hard to leave. it’ll be amazing to see their beautiful faces again.

I fell in love with all of the kidos - especially Lunga and James. My thoughts constantly go back to my time with them when the parents [and grandma] were there in Sept. I miss them and everyone at Thrive so much.

My experience while visiting S. Africa was the most amazing time of my life. I know my daughter, Laura, was changed in such an amazing way. I look forward to her future in seeing how God will bring her into what he has for her to do. I pray for Thrive Africa every day. What an awesome God we have!!!
