To Africa and Back Again
By on October 29, 2008

After being here for 2 weeks and wriggling their way into everyone’s hearts, it was hard to finally say goodbye to the families. The interns with family here had the opportunity to go on safari together before they had to leave, and the rest of us had to say goodbye before they left.
It was great to get to know my fellow interns’ families in a new light. I spent a couple of days out on relationship evangelism with Jace’s mom, grandmother, and aunt, and I’ll never forget it! I loved becoming an adopted daughter, granddaughter, niece and sister to each and every one of them. I’m excited to see them this next year as I travel around visiting my fellow interns.

How cool for your families to experience what you’ve been living for the past year. I can’t believe your year is almost up. It seems like (at least from this end of reading blog posts) that you all just arrived.
