Debriefing in Cape Town
By on November 16, 2008
Remember the days of film cameras? You’d snap away, but never really know what you got until you sent the film in for processing. Only then could you see what you actually took away from the situations you experienced.
Processing is important.
That’s why we’re heading to Cape Town early tomorrow morning with our interns. We’ll be debriefing for a week, helping the interns process all they’ve learned this year. God has done a lot in them and through them, and we want to help them discover what they’re actually taking home with them from their year of experiences.
We’ll definitely be having a lot of fun together, too. We’ll be visiting the top of Table Mountain, touring Mandela’s jail cell on Robben Island, and hanging out at Cape Point where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. Oh yeah—we’ll also get to see some penguins. (I’m serious. There are penguins in Africa!)
The internship isn’t over yet; there are still things to be learned and memories to be made. And I’m looking forward to every last moment with these guys…

I can’t believe their year is already over.
I bet Robben Island is incredible, I’d like to go there one day. And I’d like to see where the oceans meet. I’d like to spend some time in Cape Town – I’ve been through there but never for any amount of time.
Have fun, enjoy this time.

I loved the image of processing a photo.
