We’re now offering two Thrive Mission Trips. We’d love to have you join us for one of them!

What does this price cover?
All prices above are in USD. It covers your international airfare from Washington D.C. to South Africa, transportation in country, all ministry events, accommodations, all meals, and safari. All you need to do is get on the plane and we’ll take care of the rest.

Am I the right age for this program?
Thrive Trip members must be between 15-23 years old for the Student Trip, and 20 years or older for the Adult Trip. If you qualify for both trips, you can choose the one that seems best for you in regards to dates and ages of your teammates.

What’s the difference between the two trips?
The Student Trip is a bit longer, providing two full weeks in-country. The Adult Trip is more sensitive to the fact that you’d most likely need to take time off work, so it’s two weeks in total (including travel days). Both will have similar ministry opportunities and experiences.

Do I fly to Africa by myself?
Team members will meet up at an international airport in the USA. Together you’ll fly to Johannesburg where you’ll be met by our staff and taken to our mission base. After the mission trip, Thrive Africa staff will drive you back to the airport in Johannesburg to depart from South Africa.

For the Adult Trip: Team members will meet up at an international airport in the USA, where you’ll hook up with your Team Leaders. Together you’ll fly to Johannesburg where you’ll be met by our staff and taken to our mission base.
